Trelech by-election, 2014

Plaid Cymru gain from Independent

A by-election was held for the Trelech division of Carmarthenshire Council on 11 December 2014 following the resignation of Independent Cllr Dai Thomas for health reasons. Thomas had served as a councillor on Carmarthenshire Council since it was founded in 1974, and on Carmarthen Rural District prior to that.

Jean Lewis gained the seat for Plaid Cymru.
